If LibreOffice doesn't handle correctly such fonts, LibreOffice has a bug (not the fonts!). The "bugs" you found around nameID 2 are common tricks, thousands of fonts use them. This is a a cross-platform-specific bug report, like the title says so.Īnd don't worry, a comment that a bug is a duplicate doesn't mean that your comment will be rejected *if it is posted in the right place*.ītw, please read some background information about nameIDs in font tables, like : > multiple font lists, images, PDFs, etc. > I have been documenting it all, but do not want to waste my time posting > ExtraLight fonts not displaying or printing correctly. > But many families (almost all tested) have issues with the Thin and > Some have bugs in the font files (like above). > I have been testing various font families the last few days. > It looks like most everything posted there gets marked as a duplicate. > What would you like to see posted there? > (In reply to Thomas Linard from comment #19) (In reply to LibreTraining from comment #20) just to have things marked as duplicate and ignored. I have been documenting it all, but do not want to waste my time posting multiple font lists, images, PDFs, etc. Some have bugs in the font files (like above).īut many families (almost all tested) have issues with the Thin and ExtraLight fonts not displaying or printing correctly. I have been testing various font families the last few days. It looks like most everything posted there gets marked as a duplicate. > See attached screenshot of spreadsheet I used to figure-out what was wrong. > I fixed mine and they now work properly in LibreOffice. > If these are the Avenir LT Std font files from the old Adobe Font Folio 11, > (In reply to LibreTraining from comment #18) (In reply to Thomas Linard from comment #19) The document should render with the proper fonts on all platforms.
#AVENIR LT PRO FOR MAC MAC#
Create a document with one of those fonts on Windows, Mac, and Linux.ĭocuments created on Windows or Mac will not show the text in the selected font when viewed on Mac, and documents created on Mac will not show the text in the selected font when viewed on Windows or Linux.
#AVENIR LT PRO FOR MAC INSTALL#
Install the attached OTF fonts on Windows, Mac, and Linux.Ģ.

The problem this causes is that these fonts are not found in documents created on Windows or Linux when viewed on a Mac, and documents created with these fonts are not found when viewed on Windows or Linux.ġ. On Mac, "Avenir LT Std" is the family, and "35 Light", "45 Book", and "55 Roman" are typefaces. On Mac and Linux (screenshots attached) the font family is "Avenir LT Std 35 Light" with "Avenir LT Std 45 Book" and "Avenir LT Std 55 Roman" as separate font families.
